Edinburgh church services move online
Churches, and other places of worship, have had to close their doors due to the Coronavirus lockdown.
To counteract this, many of Edinburgh’s ministers and priests are streaming their regular church services online. They are also offering catch up recordings that you can access at a time that suits you.
To help you access the online church services in Edinburgh, we have compiled the following list:
Church of Scotland
Video Sermons:
- Greenbank Parish Church: 10:30 am Sunday & catch up
- Barclay Viewforth Church: 11 am Sunday
- Dalziel St Andrew’s Parish Church, Motherwell: 11 am Sunday (with subtitles and British Sign Language)
Audio Sermons:
- Davidson’s Mains Parish Church: 10:30 am on Sundays and catch up
- Marchmont St Giles: 10.30 am on Sundays
- St Andrew’s and St George’s West: 11 am on Sundays
- Barclay Viewforth Church: available post service
Roman Catholic
Video Mass:
- Archdiocese of St Andrews and Edinburgh: held daily over Easter and at 9 am on regular Sundays
- St Mary’s Catholic Cathedral: 9 am on Sundays and catch up
- St Albert’s Catholic Chaplaincy: 9.30 am daily over the Easter weekend
Other Denominations
- Edinburgh Hindu Mandir and Cultural Centre: daily Aarti Darshan at 10.30 via Facebook
- Unitarian Community: 11 am on Sundays (you will need to download zoom to access the sermon)
